Clara's Journey pt.1

A small project done over the course of 4 days, giving a spin to red riding hood sort of :D

It was reaaaaaally fun to make this, started with a lil storyboard, a sketch for all the frames, clean lines for the character and then a color pass.
Finished things of with a lil edit in After effects (Music by MagpieMusic).

I definitely want to expand this, what do you think should happen next?

Story: A greedy oil corporation devised an experimental fungal microorganism that in contact with Oil would break down and reconstruct molecules, effectively increasing the earth's dwindling supply.
Unfortunately they did not foresee the disaster it would occur, the microorganism got out of control and by pairing the reconstruction with a process similar to photosynthesis it spread at enormous speed, covering much of the earth's surface in thick viscous oil.
Now, many years later, the land is a twisted combination of oil and fungus, dead and noxious to life. The remaining humans live in secluded settlements and thrive off whatever well or spring of clean water they can still find in the depth of the earth.

Our protagonist is the niece of the shamaness that lives away from the village in an attempt to commute with the spirits and purify the land. A spirit came to her in dreams and told her that grandma is sick after fighting a nasty oil monster and needs her help.
